Belt Sanders with 30 x 522mm belts are small width sanders that are great at sanding wood and paint from surfaces. A belt sander uses a revolving belt of sandpaper to sand materials.
Belt sanders should be used when heavy duty sanding work is required. These sanders have quite a thin width but have a long belt length which makes them good at getting into areas that are quite tight or when more precision is required.
- The key consideration with selecting a belt sander is the belt size. These sit in the middle of the range of belt sander size.
- Most sanders are mains operated although there are some cordless now coming to the market. Choosing your power source: 240v tools are used with normal mains power whilst 110v tools are used on construction sites for safety reasons.
