The online power tool trade counter:

This section contains a variety of small, mostly hand-held, laser & measuring tools that assist with levelling & angle measurement, locating wiring embedded in walls, identifying changes in temperature etc

  • Cross line lasers project vertical & horizontal laser lines onto a surface for levelling purposes. They are often used by tilers & carpenters as well as the general building trade.
  • Laser levels project a horizontal laser line along a surface for leveling purposes. They are often used by tilers & carpenters as well as the general building trade.
  • Digital spirit levels display a digital reading of the angle measured. They are often used by tilers & carpenters as well as the general building trade.
  • Rotating laser levels project a rapidly rotating horizontal line for levelling purposes. They are often used against a wall for levelling suspended ceilings. They are used by tilers & carpenters as well as the general building trade.
  • Point lasers project either 3 or 4 points onto surfaces for levelling purposes. Two points are on the longtitudinal axis (ie. up & down), one on the transverse axis. Some point lasers have an additional point also on the transverse axis but offset by 90 degrees. They are often used by the general building trade.
  • Angle measurers display a digital reading of the angle measured. They are often used by roofers as well as the general building trade.
  • Laser range finders are often used by quantity surveyors & estate agents to calculate distances between 2 points. Some have the ability to measure volume & heights.
  • Digital tapes are tape measure with a digital read out for accurate measurements
  • Ultasonic measures calculate the distance between 2 points. Some have the ability to measure volume & heights.
  • Wood & metal sensors are used to detect wood studs & metal, particularly wiring, primarily behind plasterboard, but also in brickwork.
  • Laser thermometers are able to accurately measure temperature as well as measuring from a distance. They can be used to detect changes in temperature in walls & windows, for example by following the outline of a window to ascertain where the fitting needs improving.
  • Thermal indicators identify changes in temperature, for example to identify the location of draughts.
  • Inspection cameras display a digital video image of hard to reach areas. They are often used by plumbers to inspect pipes
  • Imaging thermometers are similar to laser thermometers which are able to accurately measure temperature as well as measuring from a distance. However imaging thermometers display the results in the form of a thermal image. They can be used to detect changes in temperature in walls & windows, for example by following the outline of a window to ascertain where the fitting needs improving.
  • Tripods are available for use with a variety of laser measuring tools to achieve accurate readings.
    • Please choose from the types of laser & measuring tools on the left & then we'll help you better match your needs. If you have a brand preference or know the power source you need, please select that too.
