2 function hammer - SDS max

A two-function SDS Max Hammer is a tool that is designed to carry out relatively heavy duty drilling work in concrete, brick and stone. 

Since it is an SDS Max hammer, it can accommodate a larger size drill bit than SDS Plus hammers. SDS Max drill bits are not compatible with SDS Plus drill bits, so care should be taken when ordering accessories. 

2-function SDS Max Hammers have both drilling and rotary hammer functions.

• There are two considerations when choosing between hammers. Firstly; whether you require the two standard functions of a rotary action (ie drilling) & a rotary hammer action or the 3 functions of drilling, rotary hammer action & hammer only action. Secondly, whether you require the smaller SDS plus shank size drill bit or the larger SDS max shank size. These tools are SDS max which refers to a larger shank size drill bit compared to SDS plus. They have a lever that selects between 3 functions of drill, rotary hammer & hammer only action.
