The 29mm A/F hex shank demolition hammers are the largest horizontal demolition hammer shank size that we supply. This means that these demolition hammers are designed to be used on heavy duty applications, which involve breaking concrete, brick and masonry.
As these demolition hammers have larger shanks than the 17mm A/F hex shank and SDS Max models, typically these 29mm A/F hex shank demolition hammers are also bigger in size and weight.
- The key consideration when choosing a demolition hammer is the shank size of the chisel or point bit. SDS max size is the latest technology but, in terms of shank size, is the entry level for demolition hammers. The A/F shank size bits are larger for heavier duty work. A/F refers to 'across flats' ie. the width across the hexagonal shank.
