This is a great tool although it gives you a real workout! I'm making a pair of 6.5m long benches out of 4" (100mm) thick elm boards. The 2100W motor on the HSO600 goes through them like butter. My only gripes would be that it doesn't fit the Makita guide rails without a special adapter (an extra nearly £50). It also doesn't sit at a true 90º without some playing about.

Needed a 100mm cutting depth for some large oak sleepers with 200mm width. This was the largest cutting blade I could find. Good price and did the job really well. Needed to double cut. It’s a big bit of kit but I found the weight reassuring on the job.
